Not a vacuum table, but a "water table"

Fragen, Erfahrungen und Tipps – von Lesern für Leser

Hi All,

For those of you who might be interested here a link to some pics of a "water table" I made for milling (easy melting) acryl / plexi.

http://www.elektor.nl/forum/forum/actuele-projecten/geen-vacuum-tafel-maar-een-water-tafel.633765.lynkx

The "bath" consists of a 10 mm thick PVC bottom, with edges of 10 mm.
So its possible to leave the milling process for a while.
Now I have to spray continuously water (with some soap), which works good but is time consuming and irritant at least.
Especially when the mills are older (and wiser ...), the heat is a problem.
Of course casted plexi is more heat resistant than extruded, but its far more expensive.
The clamps will be changed for aluminium ones ....
