How to use RFM12B Tx/Rx Module With Interrupt

The radio-active topic

Postby shahriar » Wed Feb 18, 2009 12:00 am

Hi

Thanks to the Elektor for nice Bascom Program ro RUN the RFM12B Transmitter and Receiver Module.

But the Program In the Elektor Uses Polling Method to see if any data is Received.
I have a transmitter that is Gonna use Batteries. I want the Mega8 MCU go to Sleep and when the Station ask Him, He wakes Up and send the Temperature Data.

Can Anybody tell me how to configure the Software and Hordware Mentioned in Elektor Jan,2009 to Set it Up in this way?

ThanX in advance

You won't get that much battery savings this way because you'll need to keep the RFM12B powered up and in receive mode, which takes around 15 mA - even if the MCU is sleeping.

I've been looking into this as well (in C), see
