Hello,
I also bought Red Pitaya some days ago, enjoying the promotion.
I'm not as disappointed as you, because there are some usable softwares, for example, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
Regarding programming, this is actually more complex, especially if FPGA has to be used.
For a beginner (like me) no doubt that a lot of work will be needed to learn how to create a new application, but I don't despair.
Elektor promoting this platform, it would be nice if articles are devoted to programming Red Pitaya, specifically for beginners.
There is also the Red Pitaya forum, but I have seen only few beginners in and often the answers are at the expert level.
We can ask (beginner's) questions and ask again hoping getting answers.
May be we could also open a thread dedicated to beginners where we could share learning and experimentation.
I hope also that experimented Red Pitaya owners will help us to learn.
In any case we must meet the challenge!
