Aviation Scanner

The radio-active topic

Does anyone know if the Aviation Scanner will be in Kit Form? I have purchased the board and the programmed processor.
A large number of the parts are SMD and the minimum quantites are out of reach for most individuals.

Hi Bruce,

Regrettably we will not be able to offer a kit for this project. We don't expect the demand to be high enough to justify a commercially feasible production run.

Perhaps trying to organize a group purchase is an option? You're free to try here on these forums.

Best regards,

I learned that Geist-Electronic does offer a kit, so if your German isn't too rusty: http://www.geist-electronic.de/html/bausatz-details_13.html.

Hi,

Wanted to bring a couple of errors regarding the Airband scanner to your attention. The schematic incorrectly refers to the varicap as BB204. It needs to be BB207.

L5 is listed as 100nH in the schematic, L1 is listed as 100mH in the schematic. Both are listed as 10nH in the parts list. Which is correct ?

I built the receiver with the great hope of receiving airband signals but unfortunately, I cannot receive anything. I have a handheld scanner which is correctly able to receive all frequencies.
