Reading HCS301 serial number, how to verify

Postby natiya » Sat Sep 08, 2018 7:52 am

Following the HCS301 datasheet, I managed to decode the serial number of the signal transmitted by my garage door opener (which matches the frame structure presented in the datasheet). However, I just have 28 bits (0's and 1's) and I don't know how I could verify that that's correct as I don't see that number in decimal or hexadecimal written anywhere.
Is that something the fob's manufacturer programmed? Do you know how I could verify/translate those 28 bits?
