SDR: any chance to erase the factory programmed CY27EE16ZEC-

The radio-active topic

Postby sarma » Sat Jan 08, 2011 12:00 am

Hi all
I would again open the SDR ,with permission. Few members have CY27EE16ZEC-xxx chips. is it possible by any method, that we can erase and re-program it . or can we work from RAM instead of eeprom
by managing any pin?
these factory programmed chips are sold dam cheap, while Field programmables are not traceable or are too costly compared to costs , when production was ON.
I would request Elektor lab and Mr Burkhard Kainka, to please throw some light , to still encourage the more users enjoy this wonder radio.
incidentally i have obtained a copy of application note AN038
copy attached.
would it be of some use in managing the CY27EE16ZEC-xxx at field level by any chance?
