Atmel SAMD20 is compatible with Atmel WINC1500 ?

Hi


I am trying to use Samd20 with Winc1500 but it says unsupported tool/device combination. Can anyone please confirm me this? I am sure that Winc1500 is compatible with samd21 but not sure about samd20. Thanks in advance.

Hi asif45,

According to section 4.1.1 of the ATWINC1500 Xplained Pro User Guide http://www.atmel.com/Images/Atmel-42388-ATWINC1500-Xplained-Pro_UserGuide.pdf, it should be "possible to connect the board to any Xplained Pro MCU board", which would include the SAMD20 Xplained Pro. However, Atmel currently does not provide any example projects combining the WINC1500 with the SAMD20, only with the SAMD21. Therefore, you will have to come up with your own code to make it work, either from scratch or by looking at some of the SAMD21 example code and tweaking where needed to fit the SAMD20.
