R8C Starter Kit... better late than never

Postby Kenjutsu » Tue Mar 31, 2015 8:34 am

Hello everyone

Back in 2006 I got the R8C Starter Kit. Unfortunately, the CD that came with it was defective, and did not read in my PC. At that stage my internet access was extremely slow and expensive, so I could not download the required software. I stored the R8C Starter Kit away to hopefully one day get it working.

The other day I came across my R8C board and was hoping to get it working this time. ;) My question now is, what do I need to download to get started? I am using Windows 7/ OS X Mavericks.

Thank you

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, the link to the zip files provided in the post does not work anymore :(

@Elektor Editor

Dear Jan, I have the original CD provided in the December 2005 issue of Elektor. Since Kenjutsu apparently owns the starter kit (CD is of little use without the µP), may I have your permission to provide the software to him via private mail?

Thanks and best regards,
Ag

thanks Ag for your kind offer and assistance, please go ahead.

The R8C special web page ans associated mini forum, and many other special project pages like for for book support, the Explorer16, the SMD oven, and many more, sadly were lost during the transition to our new .com website.
