SDR programming avr bad

I have buy the SDR kit, I like!!, but I hate the avr, pity that the project is not done with a pic!!!. Sorry for my outburst!.

For work with kit I have buy a "JTAGICEmkII" and when programming this avr , Not work, all connection is ok but never not work!!! .

The difficulty to understand the source code for porting in the pic o dspic is "encrypted" the registers of avr (speciality of timer). while in the pic is very simple and clear in the datasheet register setting!
