I don`t think that your problem is related to the size of the SD card. I am using a 4GB SD card, which works.

When I connect the FPGA board to my Windows7 laptop, it also tries to install an Elektor FPGA Board driver, which it cannot find and apparently also does not even exsit, but that does not prevent my laptop from recognizing the SD card.

I suspect that your problem is related to formatting. How did you format the SD card? What operating system are you using (Windows 8 is not supported). Is the SD card recognized when you connect it to your PC directly (either in an SD card slot or with a USB card reader) and thereby confirm that the SD card is not defective? What is the type and brand name of the SD card?

Also, not sure if the DILIGENT board is compatible with the Elektor FPGA board when it comes to the Elektor article instructions, and there may well indeed be a size restriction for the SD card on that product. Please check with the manufacturer.

My Sd card is a TRANSCEND 2 GB.

By using an adaptor, I can see the SD card in my labtop.

I try your solutions.

Hi Ag,

I can put in the SD card some files so my card is not KO.

But now, I have an other problem.

The file generated by my XILINX ISE 13.1 is an BIT file and not a BIN file.

Size is all the timt the same => 166Kb

When I use my DIGILENT board, I only flash the BIT file generated by xilinx ISE.

I check again all the setting but it's all the time a BIT file.

Is-it possible someone just send me the correct CONFIG.BIN file?

Then, I'll put in true the SD card.

If the Led are blinking, I don't need to send back my board.

Hello pitbuell94,

This is a setting, when you implement your design.
At the Bitstream Options, first page:

"Process Properties - General Options" look at the third line:
-g Binary "Create Binary Config File" check the box

Then you get a file top.bin
This File has to be renamed to "config.bin" on your SD-Card, overwrite the eventually existing file.

I've attached you a top.bin to try.
Just rename it to config.bin.

Last but not least:
Your SD-Card has to be formatted in FAT32 (not NTFS)
Play a little bit with S1/S2 if the LEDs don't blink after about 5 seconds.
I tried the file a few minutes ago, it works fine, both LEDs are blinking in a different speed.

Now everything works fine.

I have done one BIN file.

Now, my next project is to build and DIY Audio synth with 8 channels.

Part of code are already OK.

It converts PAL video Color 625 lines to 819 B&W French old standart working on old Vaccum Tube TV.
