Compatibility with the "Official ESP32" book

Hello,

I am interested inthis book from Elektor: https://www.elektor.com/the-official-esp32-book.
The book webpage also shows a bundle which includes an ESP32, as part of the ESP32 SMart Kit: https://www.elektor.com/elektor-esp32-smart-kit

I already have this verison of the ESP32: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13907

Assuming i have the rest of the parts needed in th ebook for the experiments/projects, Is this microcontroller compatible with the projects in the book?
