As this is my first venture with the T89C51, can anyone confirm that the jumper JP1 should be in or out for normal operation? I hesitate to connect the unit as I fear I may lose the programming. Thanks.

Hello

we use this jumper to download the firmware.
let it open for normal operation.
closed jumper doesnt erase the flash but only the chip doesnt start
