Hey, I searched the Sparkfun for the solder training kit and found this product:

TIP:
DO NOT PUT ANY WATER NEAR THE TIP TO WIPE IT CLEAN! once water goes on the sponge, the tip life counts down faster, making it harder to use as quality soldering,
I have tested a dry wipe practice so many times, my tips last a long time, I go to lunch and someone else comes along puts water on the sponge, and the tip is just rubbish a few days later. once it has been wet by someone else there is no return to long tip life. WATER TO A HOT TIP IS THE DEATH SENTENCE.
USE DRY WIPE SOLDERING IRON PRACTICE !!!
