Today I ran out of inkjet transparancies but have a cellar full of laser transparancies which somebody chucked out.
So I printed the PCB artwork onto the laser transparancies using my inkjet printer. The ink remains wet and of course will never dry.
Next I positioned the artwork onto the pcb, inverted the light box and positioned the light box over the artwork.Works a treat since the ink is blacker than black.Of course this method is used for surface mount artwork. If conventional artwork is required, just mirror the image when printing.
Of course there is a bonus with this method since the positioning of artwork over the PCB can be seen and very accurate placement can be made when making double sided artwork. Why hadn't I thought of this one before. Also removing the glass from the UV unit helps since there is no attentuation of the light source.
While were here, I discovered that the PIC 16F876 dil has the same footprint as the PIC 18F252 dil.Trouble is the C55x Knudson C compliler I'm using fro the PIC16 series has a 1K program limit and Microchip Web search didn't reveal any free PIC 16 Compliers.
Any free PIC16 Compilers out there?

Latest devolopment is using PWM from Portc,2 pin to generate 6v2 for LCD backlight and simple pot using ADC pin to control contrast setting of display or to change screens.
